
Rhema Christian Ministries Canada is a community focused Christian organization that is equipped with an in depth knowledge of the community and specialized programs and services, that are customized to address the immediate and emerging needs of the communities we serve. Below are just some of our historic and current programs:
- Academic Tutoring – The academic tutorial and enhancement program is geared toward youth who display a keen interest in the disciplines of Science, Arithmetic and English. With the volunteer assistance of trained teaching professionals, this program is mandated to reach students living in at-risk communities who otherwise would be overlooked by the current system.
- Annual Blood Donor Clinic – Through partnership with the Canadian Blood Services our annual blood donor clinic allows many in the community to play an integral role in the life-giving process of blood donation.
- Breaking The Cycle Athletics Program – This recreational program provides safe and wholesome alternative environments for youth between the ages of 13-19 to enjoy activities such as after school basketball, boxing, soccer and track &field programs. Through partnerships with our local police services, this program is creating a healthy interface that is breaking the cycle of violence.
- Community Employment Resource Program – An employment database and facilitation program with an aggressive mandate for 100% employment within our local communities, this program ensures that every individual is educated on how to successfully prepare for entrance into the workforce and presented with the opportunity to find suitable employment.
- Environmental Sustainability Initiatives – Working hand in hand with Parc Downsview Park in activities such as tree planting, bird house construction and general cleaning, our partnership is aimed at strengthening the park’s vision for a sustainable and eco-friendly community.
- Mentorship Programs – As an integral part of our vision to develop educational outlets for teaching, nurturing and releasing children into their God-given potential, our mentorship program for ages 6-12 has created a rich environment for young people, preparing them to become dynamic and caring leaders within their own communities.
- Musical Training - Recognizing the powerful impact of music on the current culture, our musical training and development programs provide students with a wide range of lessons stemming from dance to vocals, to horns and percussions. These programs provide an attractive and wholesome environment for those with a musical inclination.
- Partnership with Toronto Community Housing Corporation – Project Neighborhood Clean is an initiative aimed at community sustainability. Through the use of volunteer teams targeting at-risk neighborhoods with brooms, paint brushes, rakes and garbage bags, Neighborhood Clean seeks to keep our local communities clean and vibrant for all.
- The King’s College – With a vision to develop children to become world citizens and driven by the quest for academic excellence, The King’s College is a unique weekly educational program for children between the ages of 3-12 aimed at superior academic achievement.
- Transitional Housing – Our transitional housing program is designed for young people ages 8 – 15. Under the constant care and supervision of trained staff, young people experience mentorship, while being taught basic life skills, attend school and actively participate in the local church. This social program aims to prepare these future adults for a seamless transition into society.
- Wealth Management Program – Financial stewardship classes are an integral part of our mission to provide economic empowerment to our many constituents. Through the assistance of highly trained professionals, this program imparts the knowledge of financial fundamentals, debt management, investments and building a proper financial portfolio.
