Welcome to the Rhema Walk/Run Club
The Rhema Walking/Running Club is a Health and Wellness initiative to encourage the Rhema congregation to become more physically active. The focus will be on teaching members how to gradually improve their fitness levels through walking and/or running as well as provide an opportunity for fellowship.
This program is specifically designed to prepare participants for the CIBC Run for the Cure.
Program Duration
The Run/walk club will run for 12 weeks.
Program Times
The club will meet every Sunday following the 11:30 service for up to 1 hour.
Start Dates
Sunday June 5, 2011, and continues each Sunday thereafter, until September 25, 2011.
Program Requirements
- All interested participants must complete a registration forms, health history (PAR-Q) and waiver.
- T-shirts are also available to be purchased
Other Information
- We will meet in the parking lot just outside the church
- Have a light snack ( fruit) or juice- please bring water for after the walk
- There will be a post exercise stretch in the parking lot
- Wear loose comfortable clothing and proper walking or running shoes
- You decide how long and how far you want to walk/run
- We will be running rain or shine ( unless there are thundershowers)
