Faith and The Next Dimension of God
PastorM

To my sons and daughters in the faith:

There is a new move of the Holy Spirit that is coming to the Christian Church. It will require faith to see this wave that we have come to refer to as the Next Dimension of God. In this brief article we are going to take a closer look at the concept of the Next Dimension and what it means for members within the body of Jesus Christ.

When an individual is born again into the body of Christ (the church), they are automatically made citizens of God’s universal Kingdom. In fact, the church is the key agent within this global Kingdom. Now the Kingdom of God as we know it functions in dimensions. Before I explain the concept of dimensions, allow me to emphasize that a proper understanding of the Kingdom is necessary in order to appreciate the dimensionality of God’s movements within time.

When we speak of the Kingdom, (which by the way is a central theme within Scripture), we are referring to the domain in which God expresses sovereignty over His creatures. God’s sovereign rule fills time and eternity, earth and heaven, visible and invisible. In short, the Kingdom of God reveals the fact that God is the boss everywhere. In the earth, it is the job of the Christian church to make this truth a manifest reality. At this point I feel compelled to charge those around the world who may be reading this article: The time is now for you to rise up and begin to operate in Kingdom authority!

Now, having said all of that, a dimension is a spiritual consciousness through which God operates. A dimension can also speak of an extended period of time over which this spiritual consciousness will take place. Examples of dimensions are witnessed throughout the Scriptures. The best example of dimensions can be seen in the Old Testament tabernacle. This three dimensional structure or house consisting of outer court, inner court and holy of holies, had various activities and functions taking place within each dimension. The spiritual consciousness that was required to serve at each level demonstrates the fact that God operates dimensionally in unique and specific ways.

Our very composition as human beings made in the image of God serves to reiterate the truth of dimensions. We are three dimensional creatures (spirit, soul and body) with consciousness of each dimension required in order to live a holistic life. Ultimately, God Himself is also a three dimensional being (Father, Son and Holy Spirit). Our Christian walk is also one of dimensions, for we move from faith to faith, from strength to strength and from glory to glory!

At this point in human history there is a fresh word from God clearly indicating that a new dimension is being released into the earth. A new spiritual consciousness has been released for us to move God’s Kingdom into the arena of global prominence. Christians refer to this as a new season and rightly so. Here are several characteristics of this new season. Be prepared to be transformed by what you read:

A Dimension of Complete Restoration has been released. This restoration of all things points us to the return of God’s glory to the body of Christ. The church will once again move in the full expression of God as proof of its maturity. In this dimension we will finally see the Kingdom operating at full strength (Joel 2:25; Acts 3:21 & Ephesians 4:11-13).

A Dimension of Super Abundance has been released. Through this spiritual consciousness believers will come to the understanding that God has provided them with an abundance of wealth, both spiritually and naturally. Lack and poverty have never been our heritage, regardless of how well we have embraced these demonic spirits (Joel 2:26; Ephesians 1: 3).

A Dimension of Global Authority for the body of Christ has been released. The rule of the heavens will be manifested within the earth. The church will return to her placement as the locus of global government and the nations shall flow up to this mountain of God for instructions in the light (Deuteronomy 28:13 Psalm 72:8; Isaiah 2:2-3).

A Dimension of World Wide Worship has been released. In this final wave, every nation shall acknowledge the greatness of the God of the Bible. This will be done through the exaltation of the name of His son Jesus. It is at this point in human history that every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess His Lordship. At this point in time, the earth will finally yield its increase (Psalm 67).

Faith, which every believer must possess like never before, is summoning us to move boldly without reservation or apology into this spiritual consciousness. We must also recognize that dimensions are only accessed through obedience. In order to access this dimension, we must be people of order and obedience. Whatsoever the Lord instructs us to do at this point in time we must submit to without debate or discussion (John 2:5). The instructions of the Lord will come through apostolic voices established to give direction during this time. In our obedience to these voices we shall live, and not just a life of mediocrity, but rather, life to the fullest.

Are you ready for the Next Dimension? Why not begin to move your mind into the mode of thinking -- the best is yet to come!

Rhema Grand Opening in Ottawa!

On the weekend of May 20-21, 2006, Ottawa will experience the Grand Opening of Rhema Ministries in their city, and YOU ARE INVITED TO ATTEND. As one of Canada’s fastest growing ministries, this is a major step in the direction of a much larger national and international vision.

Established in the fall of 1999 under the leadership of Pastor Orim M. Meikle, Rhema Ministries is a multi ethnic, non-denominational church headquartered in Canada’s largest city, Toronto. Within a brief span of less than six years, Rhema has grown from a small congregation of 20 individuals into a flourishing and cutting edge ministry of well over 2000, and growing.

With the mission statement of “changing and affecting lives”, the ministry continues to expand. As was seen in the amazing turn-out for the Resurrection Sunday service held at the Hershey Centre on April 16th of this year, our city is embracing the approach of Rhema in equipping, “the whole person – spirit, soul and body”, placing the ministry in the forefront of God’s agenda in Canada.

To continue the life-changing work he has begun in Toronto, Pastor Meikle has designated a young prodigy, Pastor R.J. McEwan and First Lady McEwan to lead the Rhema Ministries Ottawa chapter.

Utilizing his skills from the field of social services, 28 year old R.J. McEwan believes in getting his hands dirty to reach the underdogs, telling them that they are not only created to win, but are created for today! From helping troubled teenaged boys and girls in group homes to empowering youth and seniors, who feel excluded because of their age or status, the atmosphere will be set for transformation; this is the mandate of Pastor McEwan, along with Pastor Meikle and Rhema Ministries.

Pastor McEwan reveals the essence of his approach, saying, “Being religious is not making people whole.” He then goes on to elaborate:

“Why is it that so many people are going to church but still leaving empty? In my experience the religious establishment has told many of what they can’t do. I think that it’s time to flip the script and start preaching about what they can do: ‘I can do all things through Christ who Strengthens me’ – this is the Kingdom message.”

For the past year, Pastor McEwan and his team have been meeting with Pastor Meikle to prepare this launch. When speaking about the preparations for the opening and how this venture came about, Pastor McEwan is clearly filled with excitement. “Rhema-Ottawa will have a strong voice that will be heard and recognized in the local community, throughtout the city and in our Nations Government,” McEwan says.

It is the mission of Rhema Ministries to enhance and improve the spiritual, social and economic climate within the city of Ottawa by using a holistic approach to modern day living. “Much like Wal-Mart or McDonald’s, we are placing our ministry name and brand in the Ottawa area in hopes of achieving the same success which we have garnered in our Toronto location,” says Meikle.

Now with the media vehicles of a weekly television broadcast, a talk-radio show on CFRB 1010, and the launch of Rhema’s first musical CD entitled “The Experience” Meikle is spreading his message of spiritual; economic and physical empowerment across the nation.

Rhema-Ottawa is one of many branches that Pastor Meikle plans to launch across the country in the coming year...as he puts it “from coast to coast the ministry of Rhema seeks to change Canada for the better!”

We are inviting you to attend the Grand Opening Weekend in Ottawa!

Ladies First Conference: May 10th – 12th @ Rhema Christian Ministries

Chris Penrose

While April is, technically speaking, the beginning of Spring, it is not until May that the season really takes shape in the consistent warmth and blossoming of gardens and fields. It is timely that Rhema Christian Ministries would present the Ladies First Conference at the beginning of this month.

The event will take place at the Rhema Christian Centre from May 10th to May 12th, and will feature the powerful ministries of Pastor Jackie McCullough, Pastor Paula White, and Dr. Wanda Davis-Turner.

After nearly three decades in ministry, Pastor Jackie McCullough, also referred to as Reverend McCullough, was recently installed as the pastor of The Gathering at Beth Rapha. Based in Pomona, New York, it is a sanctuary that is proclaimed to be a place, “Where Spiritual Virtue Is Imparted”. As a former nurse, her focus on medical ministry has been carried out in the form of the “WorldAlive Mission Tour”, raising over one million dollars in supplies for Jamaica.

In addition to her pastoral duties, her ministry has stretched into the areas of publishing and music. In 1999, Pastor McCullough released her debut album, “This Is For You Lord”, where she was the worship leader and author of nine of the songs on the album. She also wrote a devotional entitled, “Daily Moments With God: In Quietness and Confidence”. Ebony Magazine featured Pastor McCullough as one of the top ministers in the United States, and she was cited by Gospel Today Magazine as one of “The Most Influential African-American Ministers in the Nation”.

Pastor Paula White wears many hats in her ministry: she serves as Life Coach, Motivational Speaker, Pastor, Preacher, Author, Humanitarian, Philanthropist, Teacher, TV Personality, Wife and Mother. While she serves in these many areas, her primary position is co-pastor of the 22,000-member Without Walls International Church in Tampa with her husband Randy, which is described as “The Perfect Church For People Who Aren’t”. From growing up in small-town Mississippi, and surviving a childhood tainted by brokenness, to being sought out by the likes of General Colin Powell, former Israeli Prime Minsiter Binyamin Netanyahu, and Presidents George H. W. and George W. Bush, Pastor White imparts a word designed to, “Transform Lives, Heal Hearts and Win Souls”.

Dr. Wanda Davis-Turner is most widely known for her combination of “down-to-earth humor, compassionate wisdom and refreshing honesty”. While Dr. Davis-Turner is a prolific speaker, ministering the word at conferences and churches across the continent, she is also an inspirational author. Her writings and messages focus on the everyday issues that matter most to us: she deals with such subjects as marriage, family, depression, and seeing the miracles in everyday life. Two of her books, “Celebrate Changes” and “I Stood In The Flames” have been widely received as empowering tools for seeing just how close God’s deliverance is in all that we face.

All are welcome to attend the Ladies First Conference, both men and women, and you are encouraged to attend early in order to ensure your seating within the sanctuary. Come take part, as these women of God minister the awakening word of this new season.

Thursday, May 11 @ 7:30 PM – Pastor Paula White

Friday, May 12 @ 7:30 PM – Dr. Wanda Davis-Turner

CLASH OF THE CHARITIES: Canadian Red Cross vs. Rhema Christian Centre

Chris Penrose

Get ready for high flying, fast breaking on court excitement, as twenty of the nation’s top male university and college All-Star basketball players compete in the 2nd Annual All-Star Charity Shootout.

The event titled, “Clash of the Charities”, will be taking place on Saturday, May 6, 2006 at 2 PM inside of the main gym at Humber College (North Campus). In addition to showcasing some of the nation’s top athletes, this event is set to promote and raise funds for two worthwhile charitable causes: Canadian Red Cross and Rhema Christian Centre. Tickets range from $5 for children to $12 for adults, and game tip-off will be at 3:30PM.

The All-Star Charity Shootout theme “Clash of the Charities”, has received enormous praise from basketball enthusiasts and charity supporters alike. The charity represented by the winning team will receive 60% of the proceeds from the event, while the charity represented by the losing team will receive the remaining 40% of the proceeds. By having the two competing All-Star teams represent each of the charitable organizations, “Clash of the Charities” is revolutionizing the traditional structure of ‘All-Star’ charity games.

“There are two main objectives for this event, one is to raise awareness of Canadian basketball talent, the other is to promote and raise funds for the participating charitable organizations,” explains Fitzallen Sutton, Event Manager for All-Star Charity Shootout. “We feel that concept ‘Clash of the Charities’ accomplishes those objectives in a fun, competitive and entertaining manner.”

More than just a high-caliber basketball game, All-Star Charity Shootout is an educational experience. This high profile event uses basketball as a tool to create unique and thrilling learning experiences that will educate basketball enthusiasts and players alike, regarding worthwhile charitable causes.

This year’s roster includes CIS leading scorer and All-Canadian Sherone Edwards of PEI University, as well as Quebec league MVP and All-Canadian Dominic Soucy of Laval University. In addition, college All-Star Andrew Darby of George Brown, and Humber College sharp shooter, and 2004 All-Canadian Shane Dennie will be present.

The 2nd Annual All-Star Charity Shootout will be hosted by special guest MC DJ Golden Child of the CHRY 105.5 FM, along with Mark Strong from NBA XL and Flow 93.5 FM.

Kingdom relationships II: The Key to Healthy, Lasting Relationships!

Temi Olanrewaju

Relationships, on every level, require nurturing! In this month of health awareness, as we take the time to nourish our earthly temples, let us remember health in matters of the heart.

The greatest foundation for any relationship is 'agape' love as demonstrated by Jesus at Calvary (no greater love has no man than this, that he lay down his life for his friends - John 15:13). As Kingdom Citizens, our relationship with God is birthed out of love: "For God so loved the world...that whoever believes in Him shall not perish" (John 3:16). This demonstration of God’s love is coupled with forgiveness; therefore, it would be incomplete to talk about love without making a reference to forgiveness.

I believe that love and forgiveness are interrelated, by reason of the love of God towards us. He gave Jesus to die for us, thereby bringing us into right relationship with Him through the forgiveness of our sins. In like manner, as we show love to our families and friends, we should always be ready and willing to forgive, thus maintaining the health of the relationship.

As detrimental as untreated disease is to the body, so too is the grudge that is not forgiven. It develops over time and negatively affects the health of the relationship. But thanks be to God, that He has given us His Holy Spirit who makes us kind, tenderhearted, and forgiving!

I am reminded of the story of the paralyzed man in Matthew 9:1-8; when Jesus saw him, He was moved by his faith and said to him: “take heart, son, your sins are forgiven”.

This may not have been the expected response to a sick man as is evident in the response of the men around Him, but there was a basic principle at work here: 'forgiveness brings healing'.

As Isaiah 43:25 says, God forgives our sins for His sake and remembers them no more. In like manner, let us practice and maintain a lifestyle of forgiveness that the love of God expressed through us to all people may be a powerful witness of our relationship with God.
