“Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity” (1 Timothy 4:12)
The unwritten sign on every young person in the Kingdom of God should read “EXAMPLE!” God has called for the youth to be a sign post, something that others who may not have a relationship with God can use as a source of direction or correction. He has called youth to set the example in the areas of speech, conduct, lifestyle, love and faith. When youth set the bar high enough, no one, young or old, can ever despise them simply because they are young. It will be their example that will speak for them in places and situations where their age cannot. There is nothing greater to witness than a young person who decides to lead by example, and not follow because of the mentality of the herd.
Father, this week I bless the young among us with wisdom to become examples to their generation. I bless them with greater faith in you, greater expressions of your love, greater displays of purity and sound speech that release life and never death, Amen!
